How Solar Works?
In addition to net metering credits4 and a 15% state income tax credit, the Solar Massachusetts Renewable Target (SMART) Program offers extra savings opportunities for systems under 25 MW. The SMART program works in conjunction with net metering, and essentially pays homeowners a set rate per kWh produced. Also, the Mass Solar Loan program offers low-interest loans to Massachusetts homeowners.
